Happy Birthday to a DEER Friend

Happy Thursday! I'm so excited to share this cute little card with you. I created the card base in Silhouette Studio from a tag! Although I've done this thousands of times on my Gypsy this was the first time in Silhouette studio and it was awesome and easy at the same time! This little deer is also cut from Silhouette Studio on my Cameo.

Twine is from the Twinery, and the butterflies were a martha stewart punch.

All of you who are on the fence on getting a Cameo.... do it! I still love my cricut but the cameo cuts sooo much better. For example if I would of cut this deer out on the cricut I would still of had to pull out all those little circles on the deer because they would still be hanging on a little bit. I thought that was normal. Nope it's not! And look closely at those little circles on the deer.. they are cut soooo clean!! No jagged edges.. no paper frays!! Ok thats my rant on the Cricut vs. Cameo. :)

Easy Easter Treats

Hello and happy hump day! Today I am sharing with you this little Easter treat that I made! I am probably going to make them for all my work buddies! I love how it turned out!!

I filled Jaded Blossom's cone bags with orange Reece's Pieces that I got at target in the Easter section. I then tied it at the top with twine really good then added green tulle over it to make it look more like the greenery sticking out of a carrot.

For the tag I used Easter Treats stamp set and stamped the eggs in brown on kraft paper. I used a Stampin Up 1 3/4 inch punch to punch out the egg circle. Then I inked the edge in a darker brown. I stamped "Happy Easter" in black to make it pop alittle more. I then used my scallop circle nestabilities for the orange and lime green scallop circles which I also inked in brown. For the twine bow I used my bow maker and stole a technique I've seen my friend Ruthie do which is tie the ends of the twine in a knot.

I love how this came out. AND it was an EASY TREAT to make!! Aren't those the best? :) Thanks for visiting my blog today!

Both the Bee and the card shape were cut out from Silhouette Studio. "Thank You" is of course from Jaded Blossom and the face was stamped from Peachy Keen "The Cornies" which is my favorite peachy keen stamp set!

I just love this frog. I cut him out on my cameo from Lettering Delights. Have I mentioned the cameo cuts like butter? OMG soooo smooth! I love it. I also used wonky rectangle spellbinders, some ric rac and some twine. :)

Now that Valentines Day is over its time to officially start with the St Patricks Day and Easter crafting!! I decided to kick it off with this cute little Easter Treat box!!

I used Easter Treats stamp set for both the sentiment and the chocolate bunny. I also used the clear boxes that we have in the store and filled it with 15 chocolate foil eggs. I colored the bunny with my Copics.

And of course I used Twinery Pink and Green twine along with some Echo Park paper :)

I am soooo excited to share with you the card I made for this hop! I used my FAVORITE stamp set of all time, Jaded Blossom "Cheesy Pick Ups". Sentiment says "Your lips look so lonely.. would they like to meet mine?" I used cricut cartridge Indie Art for the lips and Art Philosophy for the circle and scallop circle. I also used "Funny Mail" for the lips in the background.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!!

Today I wanted to share with you some quick Valentine's Day treats I made for my co-workers. These were sooooo easy to make!

I used Jaded Blossom "Nerd" stamp set for the heart and "Sweet Celebration" for sweet treats for you.

The M&M's are put in 2x3 inch bags. The topper is cardstock cut at 3.25 x 4 and then folded in half to 3.25 x 2. I cut the circle and scallop circle out using my spellbinders.

Stamp Release Blog Hop!

Whoo hoo!! Its Stamp Release Blog Hop day! I'm excited, are you?!?!?!

I have FOUR projects for you. I couldn't help myself, I was too excited!! :)

This first one I stamped the snail and snail mail saying from Snail Mail stamp set on the back of a card envelope. I then used my copics to add just alittle color :)

My second project I made a Door Knob hanger with some mini cadbury eggs inside! "Happy Easter" is from Bunny Poop and "You've been egged" is from Easter Treats!

Third project... Bunny Tails!! The sentiment stamp is from Easter Treats and the bunny is from Bunny Poop! These are peanut butter M&M's inside a new favor box that is being carried in the Jaded Blossom store! These 1x8 inch clear boxes can hold bigger candy then just the skittles and M&M's.

And anyone who knows me knows I'm a nerd at heart so of course we had to have a nerd Set! Here is my card using the puzzle piece heart and "you complete me" stamp.

Jaded Blossom - Monthly Challenge

Happy Sunday everyone! Michelle and I are super excited to announce the new monthly challenge over at Jaded Blossom!!

This months challenge is to create a Valentine themed project. It can be a card, favor, tag etc. The only requirement is that it must have a Jaded Blossom stamp somewhere on it. Easy! :) There is a prize for the winner!

Now on to my project.. I cut this gable box and the owl from Silhouette Studio on my cameo :) The stamp is from "I Hoot You" petal.

Happy Thursday! Today I wanted to share a card I created using the "LOVE" stamp from Jaded Blossom's Valentine Treats.

The heart is cut from Sweethearts. The background its on is cut from Lucy Labels. The flags that "love" is stamped on was cut from Birthday Bash.

After I stamped the letters on the flags I used my glitter pen and added glitter over the letters.

The twine used is from Trendy Twine. Thanks for looking!

Trendy Twine - Guest Designer

Hey Everyone!! Happy Tuesday! I am very excited to be a guest designer for Trendy Twine today! I used the awesome Cherry Cupcake twine in my project :)

So for my project I decided to create a little treat box for my hubby for Valentines day :) I cut the box and the background from Spring Holiday Cards. The heart is cut from Sweethearts and the stamp is from Jaded Blossom "Valentine Treats" stamp set.

So as you can tell from the picture... twine curls, yay! Its soooo much cuter in person! To curl the twine I wrapped it tightly around wooden dowels and used clothes pins to secure it tight. I then put it in the oven for 25 minutes on 275. After the 25 minutes is up I took it out and let it cool and set for an additional 10 minutes. Then I gently slid the twine off the dowel. That easy! :)

Hey Everyone! So for those of you who follow me on Facebook know I just got a Cameo on Friday!

First impression of the Cameo and Silhouette Studio... Amazing! I thought I was going to be so overwhelmed and would need tons to learn how to use it but really I just played around alittle but and I already feel pretty comfortable navigating it. I know there is still tons for me to learn but I'm happy for now! :) And the cameo cuts sooooo much smoother than the Cricut! Those little details are perfect. If I could cut my Disney cricut cartridges in the cameo I would actually use them!

Anyways, I wanted to share with you my first card that I have created with the Cameo and Silhouette Studio! Everything was cut from the cameo except the star and the little flag the wording is on. :)

Not bad for my first Cameo card if I don't say so myself :P

The first one is a Cookie Monster / Milk & Cookies theme. Cookie Monster is clip art.. I must confess :/ I cut him out using my oval and scallop oval spellbinders. The card shape is from Life's a Party.

Second Invitation is the Black & White polka dot themed Hello Kitty invitation. It also has red accents. Hello Kitty was cut from Hello Kitty greetings. The card background was cut from Art Philosophy.

Hooo's My Valentine - M&M Treats

Hey everyone! Today I wanted to share with you some cute Owl Valentines that I made!!

I cut the base shape from Gypsy wanderings. The white of the eye is 1 inch circle punch and the black part of the eye is 3/4 inch circle punch.

And of course I had to customize the back using my Jaded Blossom stamps! :) I used I Hoot You and Trust in Cupid :)

The heart circle and "Happy Valentines Day" is from Valentine Treats. The "To" and "From" are from Trust in Cupid and the Monster is from Love Bites.

Over the next few days I wanted to show everyone that Jaded Blossom stamps, although they are more geared towards favors etc, can be used on cards!

Here I used "Valentine Treats" stamp set for Hugs & Kisses on the balloons. The Elephant was cut from Birthday Bash and the heart balloons were cut from Create a Critter. I then used Valentine Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine for the strings of the balloon.

I am also submitting this card into the Trendy Twine monthly challenge. This months challenge was to create a project for your Valentine and incorporate Trendy Twine.

Jaded Blossom- STAMP RELEASE Blog Hop

Happy Friday!!! Hello and welcome to the Jaded Blossom stamp release blog hop!!! I am soooo excited. Michelle and I have sooo much planned for you guys. I hope you all love the stamps as much as we do!

And since I was so excited I have THREE projects to share with you all. And trust me, I had like 7 lined up so I picked my three favorite :)

First project is my Conversation Heart box wrapper. I used the Jaded Blossom "I Hoot You" Petal stamp set for the owl, the sayings and the hearts :)

And here is a shot of the side...

Second Project: I used the "Gumball" Petal stamp set :) LOVE this stamp and the sayings!

Third Project: I used Valentine Treats stamp set. I got this cute little strawberry pot from Target in the $1 section. I put it in a cone bag (folded the tip up the back) and then added this little tag. The Circle with hearts and "I Dig You" are both from Valentine Treats.

Ok I lied.. I have one more project to show you. I have to show off the AWESOME wands!! I love these! Here I cut out a pinwheel from Mothers Day cartridge. The saying is from Sweet Celebration. And the candy inside the wand is sixlets! :)

Happy Friday Everyone!! I wanted to share my most recent project with you all using Jaded Blossom "Reindeer Magic" and clear boxes!! These little boxes are PERFECT for the Ferrero Rocher truffles. What an easy little gift for co-workers, neighbors or even stocking stuffers!! I cut the paper down to fit inside the box to give it more of a Christmas feel. Then added my Reindeer Poop poem, some glitter ribbon and twine!

The mustaches and the guy with the mustache was cut from Billionaire Lite cricut cartridge. The banner was cut from Birthday Bash and the font was from Hannah Montana! I strung the banner with hot pink twine from The Twinery.

Pink Christmas & Black Friday haul from Michaels!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, I did! And I had an awesome shopping spree for Black Friday as well. :)

I LOVE using pink on Christmas cards. Here is the latest Christmas card I made!! I used Jolly Holidays for the stocking and added pink gems. I also used my new paper stacks I got from Michaels!

Ok and here is my haul from Michaels. Paper was $7 after the coupon!

And the rest of the goodies.. Ribbon was 56 cents, glitter was $11, cricut carts were $25 and I got Jubilee free, flowers $2.50 and gems were $1.05!

Christmas Cards and a Tag

Happy Tuesday everyone!! I've been hard at work starting on my Christmas cards. I told myself I was not going to wait until the last minute this year and I'm actually sticking to that! So for each one of these you see I've actually made 8 each :)

I just LOVE how this first card turned out. I have been using my Peachy Keen stamps like crazy and they really do add such character to the cricut cuts. This cute little guy was from Winter Frolic. The background image he is on is from Lucy Labels.

This second guy is my FAVORITE!! The deer is from Doodlecharms and the present is from Sweet Treats. The Card base is cut from Tags Bags Boxes and More. Again.. peachy keen faces :)

This chick is from 3 birds on parade. I changed the strand of Christmas Lights to a banner. And of course I had to add Twine on the ends and use my Peachy Keens AGAIN! :) The card shape was cut from Life's a Party.

**NEW TIP ALERT** Did you know you can shape your clear stamps to stamp on a curve? The sentiment for his banner was long and straight so I just slightly curved it on my clear block to the same shape as the banner and it worked quite nicely! :)

And lastly, these are my Christmas tags that I will be using this year. The red paper is glitter paper from Joanns. The tag was cut from Tags Bags Boxes and more and then the buckle was cut from Art Philosophy cartridge. Then added twine and tulle for the top to finish it. Very easy!! :)

This card was for my friend Kim's birthday. The dog is from Boys will be Boys, the bone from Create a Critter and I welded the card from Lucy Labels :)

Another card using that Lucy Labels shape.. I love it!! The crab is from Create a Critter and I used my Peachy Keen stamps for his face :)

And the last card... The milk carton is from Smiley cricut cart. I also used a peachy keen face on him :)

First Christmas Card of the year!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!! I am in a Christmas Card swap with some of my local scrapping buddies and on Saturday we are having a huge all day get together with some food, crafting and fun! So I put it off long enough and had to bust out those Christmas papers and create some cards. Here is my card for the swap.

I welded the card base together with labels from Lucy Labels. I just LOVE how this turned out. I didn't want to clutter it up to much so I just added a tulle bow at the top with some rhinestones at the bottom. The reindeer is cut from Christmas Solutions. I just LOVE this reindeer! "Merry Christmas" is from Clear Dollar Stamps.

Pink by Design Team Halloween Hop

I decided to bust out my older Pink by Design Halloween Stamps "A Haunting We Will Go". That is where the stamp "Jeepers Creepers" came from.

This card might look difficult to make but it was really quite simple. I cut strips of white paper (3/4 inch) and chalked the edges in a light brown. I then decided how big I wanted it and cut white cardstock to that size. Then start gluing it to your cardstock base and trim the edges as needed. I also cut two different circle sizes for the eyes. :)

Party til the Cows Come Home tag

Hi Everyone! This week I decided to use one of my background stamps, yay! The background stamp used is called "Wired Background" . "Party til the Cows come home" is from "Take the Cake" (an oldie but a goodie!) I also use viva decor pearl pens around the edge and some fun brown zebra ribbon.

Now, don't be afraid to use your background stamps. With my tag here I knew I wanted a light pink background behind the cow so I decided to ink my stamp in a light brown. I love how it just barely has a design. It doesn't over power the cow but at the same time its nice to have something other than plain cardstock behind it. So now I want to see everyone start using their background stamps in lighter colors :) Ready set go!

Seasons Greetings - Pink by Design Day

Hi Everyone! Its my turn over at Pink by Design's blog today. I decided to go Christmas on all of you! :) For my card I used Jolly Holidays for the ornament and "Season's Greetings" is from Pink by Design "Old Time Christmas".

Don't you just love that glitter? No its not the paper, its not stickles... its Martha Stewart glitter. I've noticed in my pictures that stickles doesn't show up very well. I've recently seen this technique about how to adhear glitter with Glossy accents!

So hear is the easy way to add that glitter!! This is what my ornament looked like before the glitter.. kind of plain don't ya think?

Step 1: Apply your glossy accents to the area you want to glitter. You can see that I applied it to the top portion of the ornament here..

Step 2: Add your glitter!! Yes it is that easy! I tend to go overboard with the glitter. I just want to make sure it gets coated 100%. And when I'm done I just put the excess glitter back in the jar so I don't waste any of it. :)

Step 3: Wait for it to dry. I like to wait 20 minutes but it seems to dry faster than that, I just tend to be overly cautious. After its dry knock off the excess glitter. You can use a small paint brush to help get the glitter off your item.

Seasons Greeting!! Pink by Design sneak peek

Hi Everyone! I have a sneak peek to share with you for the upcoming Ustream stamp release on Friday!

I recently got some oval punches and I love them!! I've decided to get a little creative with the way I use the punch and not use the entire punch. Here is an easy way to change the look of your punches..

Step 1: Stamp your sentiment as close as possible to an edge.

Step 2: Punch it out using your punch like below..

Step 3: Glue what you just punched out to the paper you want for the next layer in your punch.

Step 4: Punch out the next layer the same way you did with the first layer. By gluing the first piece down you can center it perfectly.

And voila! A new way to punch out sentiments :)

I love Halloween. It's my favorite holiday to create items for. I decided to create some little treats that can be given away to co-workers/friends/kids.. Inside these are a mini bag of M&M's. Car Birthday Card

Hi Everyone! I have a new technique that I've recently discovered and LOVE so I decided to share with you all :)

For this card I used Pink by Design "Birthday Birthday" stamp set for the sentiment and "Ahooga" for the car stamp. Maybe this technique will be old to you but it's new to me! I've recently discovered colorless stamping! This is where you stamp on a piece of subtle patterned paper. I also LOVE to ink so I inked in a light brown around the car and around "Happy Birthday".

No Tricks... Only Treats

Hi Everyone! Candace from Paper Crafts by Candace here. It's my Pink by Design DT day again and I'm here with a Halloween project! Yes yes I know I'm like 2 1/2 months early BUT when the mood strikes you just have to go with it! :) After making the three halloween cards that I posted yesterday, I decided that I had to make a cute little box to go with them. Good thing about this box, A2 cards fit perfectly inside!! I decided to put some goodies and tissue paper inside though to use as a present for a co-worker or friend.

The monster is cut from Bump in the Night cricut lite cartridge. I used my Martha Stewart drippy goo border punch and "No Tricks... only treats" is from Pink by Design "A Haunting we will go".

Now for the tutorial :)

Supplies Needed:

Cardstock, Patterned Paper, Tacky Tape, Scorepal, Hot Glue, Ribbon, Embellishments of your choice

Cardstock Dimensions:

1 Cardstock 5 3/4 x 11 (my black)

2 Cardstocks 4 1/8 x 4 3/4 (my green)

2 Cardstocks 1/2 x 4 3/4 (my green on the sides)

2 Patterned cardstocks 4 x 4 5/8 (my orange)

2 Pattened cardstocks 3/8 x 4 5/8 (my orange on the sides)

First Step: Score your 5 3/4 x 11 piece of cardstock at 3/4, 5.25, 6 and 10.5 inches.

Second Step: rotate the cardstock and score at 5 inches

Step 3: Fold all score lines and cut the bottom lines as shown below. Please note, you are not cutting any paper off, just cutting tabs for the bottom.

Step 4: Decorate your box! I like to lay everything out before gluing to ensure I like the placement.

Step 5: Glue all your pieces together and put your box together. You can see in the picture below all my items are glued (except those that I will use a hot glue gun for). I apply tacky tape to the strip on the right, all small tabs on the bottom and only the big tab on the bottom on the left.

Step 6: Start removing your tabs one at a time and slowly start piecing your box together. Here is what my box looked like after gluing it together.

Step 7: Finish but adding the rest of your embellishments and some ribbon for the handles. I hot glued my flower, flower center and the ribbon to ensure they would not come off easy.

Let your Dreams set sail

Hi Everyone! Candace from Paper Crafts by Candace here. Today I am sharing with you a card I made using Pink by Design's newest stamp set "Ticket to Ride".

I decided to get creative with this card and make it a window card using my Gypsy and pop dots. The sail boat is from Boys will be Boys.

Here is a side view so you can see that the top layer and the sail boat are both popdotted.

Here is what my Gypsy screen looks like. Use any rectangle or square and for a regular A2 card make it 4 x 5.25. Then take any shape you want from any cartridge and place it in the middle of your rectangle and size and position it how you want. Then if you want to make a border around the cut out, duplicate the shape that was in the middle of your rectangle and move it away. Duplicate it again and start making the third duplication larger until your shape has a nice border around it like below.

After you cut your items lay your card out and glue everything down except your window, you will use pop dots to adhere that to your card.

I hope that all makes sense! I can't wait to see your window cards!!

Here is my card.. everyone on my card was made using scraps except the card base and the dark green matting. This lion is from Life's a Party. I hid his face on my Gypsy and used my Peachy Keen stamps "Critter Faces" to stamp his face. "Have a ROAR'in good birthday" is from Pink by Design "Take the Cake" stamp set. I also used viva decor pearl pens for the pearls around the card.

Hey Cupcake!

Happy Thursday everyone!! For my project today, I decided to use my favorite Pink By Design stamp set of the month "A Cupcake for You". Both the cupcake and "hey cupcake" are from this adorable stamp set!

You never know when you need a small gift for a co-worker or friend. This little notepad has 20 pages and took only 4 sheets of cardstock for those pages. I used my spellbinders "Frame 5" to cut the pages out in my Cuttlebug. I prefer to use spellbinders so I can create a fun shaped notepad instead of the same rectangle ones over and over. I used my copics to color the cupcake. I also used a Viva Decor pearl pen to add pearls all the way around the edge of my notepad.

Here is my copic tip for you: Don't be afraid to add lots of layers of color. My cupcake top has 7-8 layers of color on it with only 3 different color pinks/peach. I always color dark to light but if your not comfortable with your copic skills start light then go dark. For the cupcake I started dark at the top and then kept adding lighter colors and coloring down further and further blending it all together.

When I'm finished blending, I go back to my darkest color and add a little shadow underneath the black lines.

Beach Party Blog Hop

For those of you who follow my blog you know I've been obsessed with The Greeting Farm stamps lately! So of course, I had to use one on my card for this hop. This is Hula Anya! I colored her, cut her out and then pop dotted her to give the card depth. The sun is from Doodlecharms and I'm so sorry I can't remember which cart the palm tree is from. I had about 5 different palm trees up on my Gypsy trying to figure out which one worked the best. I think its from Create a Critter. I cut the sand from Paper Doll Dress Up. The Sun's face is a peachy keen stamp from Boy Mates.

Ohh La La - Pink by Design day + a tip for you!

Happy Thursday Everyone!! Candace from Paper Crafts by Candace here. :) Today I am soooo excited to share with you my Pink by Design project and tip! First my project..

I was very inspired by this cute dress from June's stamp set of the month. I looked at it and immediately thought of Paris and the Eiffel Tower. So I decided to try to go with more of a Shabby Chic theme which to me means pink, grey, pearls and lace. I stamped the dress on a light pink patterned paper, cut it out and then colored the skirt portion with my copics. I also added lots of pearls with my Viva Decor pearl pens including a belt of black pearls along the skirt line. "Ohh La La" is from Pink by Design- Flirty Girl. The paper is from a new paper line called Mosipis, you can see and buy it on Scrapbookaholic by Abby's blog.

I used my spellbinders- crown ovals and large ovals. I cut out the crown oval first and inked it then put the large oval in the middle of the crown oval and cut that out. I also cut out another oval in the same size to place underneath the dress. I then used the crown oval with the oval hole as a frame. I pop-dotted both the frame and the dress. Here is a picture taken at the side of the card so you can see how its pop-dotted.

And I couldn't stop at just a card, I decided to made a quick little matching bag. This is the perfect size for a gift card! I'm thinking a Victoria Secret gift card for a bridal shower / bachelorette party or even a birthday! "Just for you" is also from Pink by Design "Flirty Girl".

Now for my tip! I have recently started cutting out my stamp images by hand. I used to just cut them out with a spellbinder shape but that limits your creativity. Now I have to admit, I am no where near perfect when it comes to cutting out my stamps. I am either to inpatient or there are such little details that I cant seem to cut them out perfectly. Here is a super easy solution for you to hide that!

First stamp your image on your paper.

Next, cut it out. I placed my dress on black paper so you can see all the excess paper outside the line that I didn't cut perfectly.

Now grab a piece of scrap paper and a black fine tip pen. Place your stamp on your scratch paper, hold it down with one hand and use the other hand to kind of trace around it. You will actually be drawing on your scrap paper BUT make sure its close enough to your stamp that just a little hint of that black marker is drawing on your stamp.

And here is what it looks like when you are done with the entire thing! As you can see, the border around the dress is a tad thicker and darker BUT by the time your done altering your stamp (coloring, adding glitter etc) you won't even be able to notice it. When you first looked at my card at the beginning of this post, did you notice it? :)

Happy Friday!! I hope everyone is having a great day so far! I just got Bump in the Night cricut lite cartridge in the mail and had to create something with it ASAP. I am LOVING this cartridge! So many cute little monsters. I also used my black Viva Decor Pearl Pen to create the little pearls all around the card. Pink by Design Day!

Happy Thursday Everyone! Today I am excited to share my card along with a tutorial!!

First here is the card.. I used Pink by Design's June's Stamp of the Month dress stamps to create this card. I stamped the dress on light green patterned cardstock. I then colored the bow in a darker green with my copics then cut it out with scissors. I used my spellbinders- oval and scallop oval for the cardstock that the dress is on. "Just fabulous" is from another June release.. "Material Girl".

Now for my tutorial- one of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I create the inked border when I use spellbinders. It's actually very easy, I just ink the inside of the spellbinder!!

Step 1: Determine what size/shape will work for your project. Then cut it out as usual BUT DO NOT REMOVE THE PAPER FROM THE SHAPE AFTER IT'S CUT.

Step 2: Pick out your ink. As you can see on the left is my oval spellbinder with the paper still inside. On the right is my scraps. For this project I knew I wanted to use pink ink on my pink cardstock. I had two pinks that I could pick from so I used my dauber and tested them on my scraps before trying it on the real thing.

Step 3: Start inking! Yes it's as easy as that. I use my dauber and lightly press it on my ink pad then start applying the ink to the inside of my spellbinder. It is OK to get ink on your spellbinder, after your done it just wipes right off. I like to go very lightly at first and keep applying ink until I get the right darkness.

And here is what it looks like when its complete! Depending on the project and your style you can do a thick/dark border like below or a very light thin border.

And here is what it looks like after I pop it out of my spellbinder. Nice crisp border!

Before placing it on my project, I put the dress back on top to make sure I like how thick the border is. At this point if I wanted a thicker border I could easily ink more of the inside even with the spellbinder already off.

I hope everyone enjoyed my tutorial on inking borders with spellbinders. I hope to see lots of projects with this technique being posted on the Pink by Design messageboard!!

Scrap week continues!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!! Scrap week continues! I hope everyone is trying to make the most out of their scraps. I am usually so bad at using my scraps but I'm determined to organize them and use them. Hopefully later this week I will have some posts on how to organize your scraps. I've been hitting up Michaels and Joanns here and just can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for to organize my scraps.

Anyways.. Here is the latest card I made with my scraps. This card is made out of 100%... yes 100% paper scraps!! I am just loving this card if I do say so myself :)

Details: The dog is cut from Create a Critter. His face is Peachy Keen "Critter Faces" size large. "Hot Diggity Dog" is from Pink by Design "Simply Everything" stamp set. Then I just added alittle ribbon and gems. :)

Use Those Scrap's Week!!

Happy Monday!! This week I've decided to challenge myself to use my scrap's on all my cards. I don't know about you all but I have TONS of scraps that just sit there that I don't use. :) It's not like they are small scraps either.. they are pretty good sized. Anyways, Here are some cards that I made to kick off "Use those scrap's WEEK!" Oh and not only did I use mainly scraps but I managed to use 5 different Pink by Design stamp sets too! :)

First card.. everything is scraps except the pink card base. The butterflies were punched out by a Martha Stewart punch. "Best Wishes on your special day" is from "Hats Off" stamp set.

Second Card.. is all scraps except the light blue card base layer and the white paper that the birds are stamped on. "Happily Ever After" is from "Here Comes The Bride" stamp set.

Third Card.. everything is scraps except the grey card base and the white paper which the kitty is stamped on. The kitty is a The Greeting Farm stamp. "You're Perfect" is from "A Haunting We Will Go" stamp set.

Fourth Card.. everything is scraps except the white paper which the tree is stamped on. The green card base is scraps and was left over from another project I had worked on. The tree is from www.cleardollarstamps.com and "All things grow with love" is stamped from "Life's a Garden".

And last but not least my favorite card I've made out of scraps.. It is all scraps except the pink card base. The frog is stamped from The Greeting Farm and "from out pad, to yours" is from "Jump and Jive" stamp set.

The theme for this blog hop is Michelle's favorite things. She loves animal print, pink, bling, ribbon, twine, stamps & copics.. the list goes on and on. If your friends with Michelle on facebook then you know she never changes her profile picture. So I decided to try to find a stamp that I could try to modify to be Michelle. And of course I had to add the yellow flower in her hair :)

Pink by Design - Design Team Day

Happy Friday! It's design team day over at Pink by Design and I have two projects to share with you!! This weeks challenge for the DT members was to create anything but a card or tag. I love these challenges. Boxes and favors are my favorite things to make so this was perfect for me.

For my first project I used this months Stamp of the Month stamp. I also used Life's a Party cricut cartridge to cut out the box. The ladybug is from the stamp of the month set and "Wish" is from Just a Ticket.

For my second project I used the Independence Day image stamps. So the Flag, "USA" and fireworks are all from this stamp set. Every year my family throws a HUGE 4th of July party. I think I will put some candies in this and put it on the table with all the snacks. I will also make a couple more, one for Napkins so they don't fly away and another for plastic forks and spoons :)

So our design team challenge for this week was to use the Stamp of the month and create a Mother's Day project. I decided to make some little sour cream containers filled with hershey kisses. :) The tree is from the Stamp of the Month along with the smiley face on the tree. "For You" and the flowers are from the Bicycle Image stamps that Pink by Design released last month.

Just a note + New glitter technique

Happy Thursday everyone!! Here is a quick card I put together last night... When I'm not feeling too crafty I will just stamp a bunch of Greeting Farm stamps and color them in. That way another night I can just go to my pile of stamps already colored and throw together a quick card! :)

This angel is a Greeting Farm stamp. She is from the stamp set Naughty or Nice. Just a Note is from Pink by Design's "Scripted Year" stamp set. I've recently learned a new technique for glitter. Instead of using stickles I bought a set of Martha Stewart fine glitter. First I apply Glossy accents and then cover that area with glitter and put it aside for awhile to let it dry. I love this new technique! You get a much more even coat of Glitter appose to stickles AND it shows up so much better in pictures. :) It's also cheaper then using stickles. I used a 50% off coupon on the glitter and got a pack of 12 colors for $10.00! :)

Happy Easter - Pink by Design DT Day

Happy Good Friday and Happy Easter to everyone! The theme for the challenges this week over at Pink Cricut was EASTER! I had to create an easter project with the Stamp of the Month cupcake set and another with one of their images set (I picked Sports Fanatic). Let me tell you, I really had to get creative on this one!!

For the cupcake Stamp of the month set I decided to turn my cupcake into a Bunny!! How cute is that?!?! I love how he turned out! :) I also used my spellbinders, martha stewart border punch and another Pink by Design set, Hoppy Easter. The ears are cut from 3 Birds on Parade.

For my second card I stamped the baseball, football and basketball in various memento ink colors then stamped them on to a white cardstock and cut them out. The basket was cut from Doodlecharms. The sentiment is also from Hoppy Easter. Again I used spellbinders and my Martha Stewart border punch :)

Today I am sharing with you the items I made for an Eiffel Tower birthday theme. I was asked to make a banner, cupcake toppers and M&M sticks with purple, black and white.

First I made the banner.. I used Birthday Bash and Storybook cricut cartridges.

Next I created the cupcake toppers. The Eiffel Tower was cut from Wall Decor and More and I modified it alittle bit by adding an M to be cut out of it.

Then for the M&M sticks I used French manor and again modified the Eiffel Tower with an M.

Go Wild!

Good Morning and Happy Monday! Today I am sharing my "Go Wild" birthday invitations, banner and favors that I made for a customer.

When I was first asked to make this theme I was lost and had no idea how I was going to incorporate both zebra (black and white) and giraffe (brown and light brown) into the same invitation. Seemed like there would be ALOT going on.. in the end I LOVE how this turned out and the lady I made them for loves them as well. She actually sent the picture of my invitation off to the cake maker and the cake is being designed to match MY invitations!! I'm so excited about that!! Here is the invitation.. "Go Wild" is cut from Create a Critter. The shape of the invitations was cut from Tags Bags Boxes and More. I then used my spellbinders to cut out the shape with the words "For Ava's 7th Birthday!"

And here is the Banner... All of which was cut from Birthday Bash (LOVE THAT CART!!)

And last but not least, the Skittle Stick favors!!

Royal Digi Easter Blog Hop

I am so excited to share my project with you. This adorable little bunny is a digital stamp from Karber Digital Images. This is my first time using a Digital stamp and I love it!! So easy! I just sized this guy to the size I wanted and then printed him out on my copic paper and started coloring him!

This box it cut from Spring Holiday Cards cricut cartridge. The stamp "Oh, Hoppy Day" is from Pink by Design. I also used glossy accents on parts of the egg and the bunny. Don't you just love the bow I made with the twine? My good friend Michelle @ Scrappin with my Bug taught me how to do it. It's my new favorite technique!!

Tinkerbell Birthday Party

I just love it when my friends share pictures of the items I made for them. Here are some pictures of Tinkerbell party items that I made.

These boxes believe it or not are actually from Sweet Treats cricut cartridge. I then cut a 10x2.2 strip of paper out and border punched the sides then glued it to the box to be used as a handle. I think these just came out perfect!! For those of you who have the Tinkerbell cartridge you will forgive me for not cutting her out for all these items especially since she would of been very small making her eyes and lips even smaller! Instead I used clip art and my spellbinders to cut her out in a circle.

More clip are here again for the mini cupcake toppers. The Tinkerbell part of these toppers are actually only about 1.5 inches, gives you an idea of how mini the cupcakes are :)

Skittle sticks!! Here they are laying on the plates with all the other coordinating tinkerbell items :)

I am still working on the giraffe and zebra print birthday items, hopefully I will post those in the next couple of days. :)

Happy Pink by Design Friday!!

Happy Friday Everyone!! Its Pink by Design DT day today and I have two projects to share with you!!

First project is the Stamp of the Month set from Pink by Design. I ADORE this stamp set, its so freaking cute!! The cupcake, sprinkles and sentiment on my card are all from Pink by Design. Also, did you know they carry twine in their store like the twine I used on this card? LOVING twine!! The circle and scallop circle cut on my card are cut from spellbinders.

My second project uses part of the new image stamps from Pink by Design. The soccer ball is from the Sports Fanatic stamp set. I stamped it for the background and then stamped it on white cardstock and cut it out then applied glossy accents. "Thanks" is from Big Thoughts. And again.. more twine!! :)

Hot Pink and Zebra Striped birthday!

I had a customer request multiple items for her daughter's 3rd Birthday Party. She wanted Hot Pink and Zebra Striped items. This is what I came up with...

First on the list is Sour Cream containers! These are filled with hershey kisses. I bought shimery zebra print paper for these ones. The circle and scallop circle are punched out using Stampin Up punches. The 3 is cut from Cindy Lou.

Next is M&M Sticks!

Gable Favor boxes!! I used Pink by Design's zebra print background stamp on the next three items.. The tutu is cut from Paper Doll Dress Up.

Kinda hard to see in the picture, this banner looks so much better in person. The letters and Banner are cut from Birthday Bash.

And of course no party is complete without cupcake toppers!! BTW isn't this cupcake adorable? I bought a couple to use as props from Birdie Baby Boutique.

Next on the list... Animal Print (Zebra and Giraffe) birthday party!! :)

Hello and Happy Friday! Its design team day over at Pinkcricut.com. We were asked to create a scene with our Stamp of the Month set for March. I just love the flowers on this set, they are so cute!! And of course I had to add some glitter to them :) I also love that this set has some grass in it! It looks so much more real then the grass I would cut on my cricut.. This wheelbarrow was cut from Walk in my Garden cricut cartridge. The sentiment is also part of the stamp of the month stamp set.

Pink by Design and The Greeting Farm!!!

This chick is Ebony from The Greeting Farm, I just got her in the mail and had to put her on a card ASAP. I also just got my lace background stamp from Pink by Design (which is on sale right now for $11.99!!) and thought the two would go perfectly together. The sentiment "Just a Note" is from Pink by Design "Scripted Year". I also used a Martha Stewart border punch for the black and teal portion at the bottom.

Happy St. Patricks Day!! I decided instead of making a St Patricks themed card I would make a green card with a Frog theme :) This frog was cut from Boys will be Boys. The background was cut from Gypsy wanderings. The stamp "Wishing you a Hoppy Day" is from the "Hoppy Easter" stamp set by Pink by Design. I inked the edges of "Wishing you a Hoppy Day" in a gold metallic ink.

I am also entering this card in the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge for this week- Square cards using green and gold, yes I did use alittle gold ink :)

Pink by Design - Stamp of the Month- Design Team Day!

Happy Friday! Its Design Team day again over at Pink Cricut! For today's project I used March's stamp of the month set. I just LOVE the watering cans and flowers in this one so I decided to focus on the watering cans.

First I stamped the solid watering can in a light pink and then stamped over it with the other watering can in either a mauve or brown. Then I added a green stem and some flowers coming out of the top. I used my spellbinders to cut out the watering cans in squares then inked the edges in a light brown. I really wanted to make the watering cans the focus of this card so I decided not to add any sentiments to the outside of the card. Instead I stamped "Thanks a Bunch" to the inside.

Pink by Design - Stamp of the Month- DT Day!

Happy Friday!! It's a very happy Friday for me!! For one, it's my birthday :) and two.. I'm in DISNEYLAND!! Whoo hoo!! So it's design team day over at Pink Cricut and I decided to make a post it note holder for you all!!

This is an acrylic 4x6 picture frame that I bought for $1 from Walmart. I laid it down and turned it into a post it note holder!! The stamp reads "Cinderella is proof that a New Pair of Shoes can change your life" and of course I choose to use this stamp because I'm in Disneyland! :) The black shoe and diamonds on the lighter pink paper are also from Designer Shoes stamp of the month stamp set. I used my silver glitter pen and added glitter to the shoe.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #48 - Emboss It

Hello everyone and Happy Monday!! This weeks challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut is Emboss it!!

For my card I used Straight from the Nest for the ice cream cone and the scallop oval. I used storybook for the regular oval. I embossed the pink ice cream part and then inked it in a hot pink cats eye ink. The stamp "Happy Birthday with a cherry on top" is from Pink by Design's set Take the Cake.

Just another Gray Hare...

LOVE Pink by Design stamps! For this project I used two PBD stamps. The first stamp I used says "Don't worry, it's just another gray Hare". I love that saying!! That stamp is from the Hoppy Easter stamp set. The second stamp that I used is actually a background stamp. The green cardstock was stamped in light blue memento ink with PBD Crazy Daisy background stamp.

Now for the cricut details.. The box and the green cardstock is cut from Spring Holiday Cards. The bunny is cut from Live Simply cricut lite cart (love it!!)

Easter Projects + Blog Hop Winner!!

EASTER!! I just bought these easter stamps from Pink by Design "Hoppy Easter" and had to play with them!! I've been stalking Walmart and Target all weekend for Easter candy and finally found some chocolate easter eggs yesterday! Here is a couple of things I've come up with..

First project is of course.. Skittle Sticks :) The green background is cut from Gypsy Wanderings. The bunnies are cut from Doodlecharms. I used blackout and shadow and then stamped the face with Peachy Keen - Bright Eyed and Bushy Tailed stamps.

Second project is alittle easter type basket that I made using my Martha Stewart score board. I then decorated by adding a white picket fence and grass cut from Paper Doll Dress Up. The Bunny is from create a critter and of course had to use the same peachy keen face on this guy to match the skittle sticks :) There are 10 hershey chocolate eggs inside the basket but alot more can fit in there with a peep or chocolate bunny..

Pink by Design - Stamp of the Month (Jan + Feb) DT Projects!

Yay! It's finally Design Team day over at Pink Cricut for Stamp of the Month! :) I am very excited to share these two projects with you!!

First project is for January's Stamp of the Month set- Fly Away with Me. I decided to use the butterflies! I stamped them with black Memento Ink and then colored them with copics. The blue background image is cut from Gypsy Wanderings. I then stamped another butterfly in a very light blue color then stamped the words "Spread Your Wings" over the top in brown. The words are also from the stamp set. I cut them out with spellbinders and added alittle brown metallic ribbon! :)

And here is my project for February's stamp of the month- Designer Shoes. I cut this box from Spring Holiday Cards. I love this cartridge!! I mainly bought it for these boxes, they are perfect to put little gifts or gift cards in! I tiled the shoe stamp for the background and then cut out the leopard shoes from Paisley. The tag was cut from Gypsy Wanderings and the stamp "No matter what you've had for lunch, Shoes always fit" is also from that same stamp set. I love this sentiment!!
